FO: Baby Pierogi family

The girls at work wanted pierogi babies to go with the larger pierogies they both already have...

Alison's can be found HERE
Jenn's can be found HERE

You will notice One is beige and the other is bright pink...so the babies had to be a mix of the two hahah. Maybe I should have made a random color one just for fun... ;)

Birthday Steak- New Recipe #4

I surprised Hubby by making him steak for his birthday! I went to the butcher and picked them out all by myself! He's the grill master and picks the steaks to grill. I, on the other hand, was making them in the house.

New recipes 3 & 5- both Pressure cooker Pot Roast and Beef Tips

Now it starts to get confusing! Here are my 3rd and 5th new recipe of 2016 AND the 2nd and 3rd things in the pressure cooker. I didn't realize as I was planning the posts, I marked #4 as #5. Oops..Maybe if I blogged immediately I wouldn't have such issues haha.

FO: Sarah's Sweet Tea Shawl

Sarah is always hot and wears short sleeves or no sleeves at work. She wanted something that would still allow her to wear her short sleeves, cover her arms and not be too hot. I originally had another pattern picked out. I even had 10 rows crocheted on it. Then I saw a Ravelry friend make this shawl pattern and I knew it fit the bill for what Sarah was looking for.

Potato Pancakes: #1

1st new recipe of 2016! I made them 1/3/16.
I think I want to try to keep track this year of all of the new recipes I make in 2016.

FO: Kim's Hat

At the December craft fair- a coworker asked me if she thought I could replicate her boyfriends hat. The original met an unfortunate demise. I asked her to bring in the original to see what the pattern was & size. Worst thing I could say is I didn't think I could make it. I mapped out the original and went from there.
It turns out- it fit perfect. This is thicker than the original- I can't seem to locate the proper yarn.
The Hunt Continues.

FO: Circle Christmas Trees

I have had this pattern in my queue for a while to make. I gave 2 away as gifts and still have 2 in the pile.
I would like to make more of these to have for gifts for 2016!
There is a loop on it to either use as an ornament or to hang elsewhere.

FO: Pink Pierogi

I made Jenn and I crochet pierogis a while back and Alison recently decided she needed to have one. Not just any color though, it had to be PINK. There might be more smaller ones in my future as well....

Crescent Wrapped Baked Brie

For Thanksgiving I made the usual baked brie- and it never baked through.
I used a different brie than normal- it was thicker. I think it was part of the issue.
I used apricot filling as a topping on one and homemade apple filling on the other.
Better luck next time =)

FO: Cup Cozies

I made up a few gift baskets for Christmas presents- and included travel coffee mugs filled with candy- each with their own Cup Cozy.

FO: Double Corner Pot Holder

I wanted to try a pattern from a library book- in addition to making a new pot holder for Moi.
I would use this pattern again. It makes a thick Pot Holder/Hot Pad

Sarah's Birthday Hot Pad

Miss Sarah had a birthday at the end of December- so I wanted to make her something =-)
What better than a useful Pot Holder/ Hot pad. It is double thickness- I used 2 strands of yarn.
I think I need to make myself one soon!

Started & Finished:  12/27/15
Yarn: Lily Sugar n'Cream Cotton- Pink and Purple
Hook: J
Pattern: Starfish Hot Pad by Jo Ann Loftis
(From a book I got at the Library)

The pattern is 7 rows- but I skipped row 6 and went straight to 7 because it seemed big enough since I went up in hook size. The Hot pad curled a bit- so I hope as she uses it, it flattens out because of the heat from the dishes.
