Fondant Flower Press

When we were visiting in West Virginia last September my Aunt took us to this craft store that had really good prices on stuff. Hubby got my this Button Flower Fondant Press...yeah I just now opened it this weekend, lol. But it was pretty cool. I would much rather cut out small embellishments with fondant rather than covering a whole cake with the stuff. 

I didn't have a finished cake to put them on, I wanted to try them out first to make sure they worked before I use them on a project.

I hate covering cakes with fondant, I will have to go to a class and actually learn how to do it properly before I rip all of my hair out. Here was my attempt, front view ONLY....the back was kinda bad. I did, however, get to use Duff's cake tatoos. We havent eaten the cake yet tho so I don't know how they taste.

Can I just say I love how they re-designed Michael's??  They have a new line of cake supplies by Duff, the Ace of Cakes. I can't wait for my next 40% coupon to go buy stuff. =)      (and to take hubby w/me so I can get more stuff using more coupons, lol)

Then after I made the Coffee Cake, I though "Hey I want to make something chocolate too,". So I did. I made a Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Bundt cake. Then I forgot to take pics of the finished product. I remembered half way thru. But now I can't get them to load so I will post them as soon as my computer will let me.

Mother's Day 2010 part 1

I forgot to post my Mother's Day creations!
I wanted to make a coffe cake but didn't have any butter thawed. So Sis-In-Law says make Cowboy Coffee Cake there are not alot of ingredients...so I did.
