Poll Results

I'm sure the 2 people who voted are DYING to know what the answer is, and I have the answer, I just wanted to calculate a few things first! I've been sick, so I'll get there soon lol.

Amazon Order part 2

I saw this cake pan in the Wilton Yearbook and had to have it...even if I just make it for me because I like to roller skate!

Now I just have to buy some real ones! I don't know what happened to the purple ones I had. They probably got funky from being in the basement anyway.

Cooookies!

Ok so it's not really cookies, just my new Cookie Monster Cake Pan (C 1982) from Mardi Gras. They had an Ernie Pan...but it looked weird, there was a Count von Count pan, a Big Bird Pan, and a small Cookie Monster Pan too. Mardi Gras also had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pan, like the smurfs pan I bought, lol.

New Cookie Cutter!

I got a request to make more sugar cookies, so I bought a Heart Cookie Cutter (I probably already have 5 but...didn't want to take a chance, lol) and some Sanding Sugar to decorate with.

Air Brush!!!

I posted here that after pumpkin roll season I was going to look into buying an Air Brush for cake decorating. Well, guess what?? BEST HUBBY EVER, I mean Santa, brought me one for Christmas!!! I can't wait to use it! I am ordering a brush especially for cake decorating. It came with a brush, but the one for cakes has the paint container on top, for a better flow, I'm guessing. I'll take pictures once I get all of the stuff! =)

Care Bears Pan!

I saw this pan at the end of November there and I passed it up, I wanted it, but passed on it at the time. It was missing the box, instructions and baking cone. In all reality I guess if I wanted to make a Care Bears cake, I could use my Cuddly Bear Stand Up Cake Pan...Nah! Someone is getting a care bear cake, I don't know who, but it's gonna happen.

New Cake pan!

Now, HOW COOL IS THIS?!

La la lalalala la lala lala

This was a GREAT find because there is a new Smurfs Movie coming out this year!

The local cake store bought some 'vintage' cake pans from a shop that was going out of business. I bought 3 different ones, I'll be posting the other two this week as well.
She said now that I bought a few, she can put a few more out, she acquired some Sesame Street ones, I hope she still has some left!

Hubby's Birthday 2011

Happy Birthday Hubby!
I had planned on this cake for a while now.

I originally wanted to use doughnut holes to make the pool balls, but the frosting kept sliding off.
So I made mini cupcakes.

However, I almost didn't have enough eggs, so I had to google No Egg Cake Recipes...and wouldn't you know! I found one!!
Click here for the recipe, it was pretty good!!

If I would have had time, and more than 3 of us were going to eat the cake, I would have made it with a sheet cake, for a more realistic look.

MLK Day

All three of us were home today! =)
So I thought it would be nice to make some potato soup! MMM

As you will recall it has been about a month since I made it last...at the beginning of my Baking Extravaganza!

My new favorite drink, Maxwell House International Cafe in French Vanilla.
I was in the need for a Pick Me Up on Friday and thought I would get this to try.
Love it! It doesn't love my stomach tho...most coffee and hot chocolate doesn't.
It reminds me of the old cappuccinos that McDonald's used to have.

Eli's New Years Eve Birthday! Part 1

I got this great pan a while back and we told BFF that Eli was going to have a Train Party for his 2nd birthday, lol.

You had to fill one side of the pan almost to the top, then snap the top half to it, then tie it with kitchen string, so it wouldn't come off while baking.

The bottom side baked better then the top, but for a first try it wasn't too shabby. I know next time to add a little more cake batter.

The smoke stack broke off, so I attached it back on later with a tooth pick. It wasn't too steady until we added doughnuts for wheels.

New Fridge

We had the best experience ever at B and B Appliance when it was time to buy our new refrigerator. It broke on Tuesday December 28th. I came home from work and the cat was licking the floor, which isn't unusual at my house, so I didn't think anything of it. Hubby went to get some ice and it was melted together, but the refrigerator part was still cool. So he put a thermometer in the fridge and moved all of the food into the chest freezer in the basement. We left everything in the fridge except my medication, I moved that to the attic steps, where it would stay at the temperature it needs, just in case. The next day I went to get milk and it said it was at 60*...needless to say I didn't get milk. We looked at Sears, Best Buy and just about anywhere else that had appliances. We were going to settle on one at Sears, it was a little more than I wanted but we needed one soon. Hubby suggested we go to B and B appliance, it was on the way to Sears, just to check. We walked in, went to the refrigerator section where we were greeted by Lenny. We told him what we were looking for: Water and Ice maker, not a Side by Side. He pointed to one on the wall, a best seller, on sale, IN STOCK and in our price range, he was not at all pushy. That was it, within 10 minutes we had our new fridge, plus we knew where we were going to go when the time comes for a new (double) oven! (they had some of those on sale too, I had to walk away lol) So if you or someone you know are looking for new appliances, go there first!
