Hot Chocolate Cookies, #27

Hot Chocolate Cookies- from the jar. Can I just tell you the only place I could find these was at Walmart. I went to a few places and NONE were to be found.

They seemed to be a hit! =)

I have been wanting to make these for a while. At least since 2015. I have an excessive amount of hot cocoa powder so it was time to get to using it.

The recipe appears on the back of the Mallow Bits jar:

1 1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
2/3 cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
3 1/4 cup Flour
3/4 cup Hot Cocoa Powder
(the directions say 4 packets, I had to use 5 to get the correct amount)
1 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 cup Chocolate Chips
1 cup Mini Mallow Bits
Heat oven to 350°F. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with standing mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Combine next 4 ingredients. Gradually beat into butter mixture until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and Mallow Bits. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour, up to 24 hours.
Drop 2 tablespoons dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes; remove to wire racks and cool.
