New Cookies

We call these Josh Cookies, bc my BFF's hubby makes them, but he got the recipe from
America's Test Kitchens Cookbook
And can I just say that the big cookie was a request and that the person who requested them only ate TWO!! =P

Cookie Tray Orders

I had 3 cookie tray orders, plus I wanted to make a tray for Mom's house. Per request the tray was to have Peanut Butter Blossoms, Spritz cookies and Sugar Cookies.

The decorated spritz are below The recipe I used is from the Wilton Cookie Exchange book, toward the back.

Louise's two cookies for her grandsons

Mom loves flip flops...my assistant calls the cookie cutter a potato...

I tried to make 2-3 of the same cookie, since I was doing multiple trays.

My Normal Cookies

In addition to new cookies a made some old favorites too!

Russian Tea Cake Cookies:

and Peanut Butter Blossoms: (the only difference between my recipe and the one I linked to is, I use shortening and the recipe online calls for butter)

Note to self: DOUBLE the recipes for both of these next year! I ran out way too quick!

I forgot to take pics of the Italian Christmas Cookies I made...
Note to Self: Do NOT double the Italian Christmas Cookie Recipe! It made way too many when I doubled it!!

Christmas Cookies!

Many of these next posts will be about all of the cookies I made for Christmas, with the grand total at the end...I tried quite a few new recipes this year, some were hits...others not so much.

So before the big cookie making Extravaganza, we made some potato soup to eat! YUM! If you click on the words potato soup, it will take you to the recipe I use, but I don't use the onion or celery and I put in bacon and sometimes ham.

That was the step where you add the potatoes.

I saw these at Walmart and had to have them:

LOVE Andes Mints! These are Andes Mint Baking Chips and I have to buy more before the season ends, because I only see them around Christmas time.
**Let me tell you, I have a Chocolate Chip monster that visited my house to try and hide these from me...good thing I bought and extra bag!!

The cookies were tasty too! I had some positive feed back about them. I used the recipe on the back of the bag, but click here for a link that has the recipe.

I used my small ice cream scoop to get perfectly round cookies.
