Sloppy Mike's from the Chew was on the menu recently.
The original recipe is HERE
Michael Symon's Sloppy Mikes
Here is what I did this time, the original recipe can be found in the links above.
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1/2 lb bacon
- Hamburger buns
- 12 oz Tomato paste
- Onion and Garlic Powder, Salt, Paprika
- Cheese (optional)
- Beef Stock (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- 1Fry bacon in pan until cooked, remove and dice. Add ground beef to skillet with bacon grease, season and cook until browned. *You can always cook the bacon in advance to save you time.
- 2Once beef is cooked, drain. Add tomato paste and bacon to the browning meat. Stir to combine ingredients. Add cheese and stir to combine and melt. Note: If the meat is too dry you can add a little stock to help moisten it.
- Serve on buns or rolls.
