Christmas Connection 11/23/2013

This weekend, November 22-24th,

Q and I went as usual on Saturday...but we has TWO guests this time!!!
Since it was on a weekend he wasn't here it was decided he would drive up
with his girlfriend K (so I could meet her too) and
we would all go to the Connection- Hubby went too!

Here are the past years festivities:
I must not have blogged when we went in 2010?

Big Santa

It was "snowing"
(Soap bubbles lol)

The very large tree

The Ferris Wheel-as usual
Our guests joined us as well...
Therefore there are no pics of Q...
I didn't want K to think I was a complete weirdo on the first visit!
hahaha

The view

At one point it started making weird noises and bouncing...
They reversed the wheel and all went well.

Signs with Mine and Q's name-spelled correctly

Hubby got me a charm bracelet for my birthday

The Left half are the ones that it came with, the Right side and the small bag are
the ones I bought at the event.
K left with her own bracelet too.

Then we went and ate at Rockne's! MMMMM

Hopefully we get to hang out with K again soon! =)

Happy Birthday to Me lol

Since it was on a Saturday Hubby went and got me breakfast, then we went to the West Side market and picked up steaks for dinner. MMMM very Yummy.

Hubby got me this really cool candle from
He said he had to go into the Christmas Stash since my real present didn't arrive yet.
He wanted me to have something to open.

See that Gold Circle? It's a ring...
Yeah you read right- a RING
How awesome is that????

The website said there is a ring valued from $10-$5,000 in there

and it will take 10-15 hours to get to it

 THERE IT IS!!!!

At this point it was loose enough to grab out with tweezers

Wrapped in Gold

in a small baggie

TA-DAH!!!

It burns for 100+ hours (I think the web site says 140 hours)
Mine is still going strong- it's apple. It has a light sent, not overpowering
and is burning even for the most part.
It is a soy base candle and unlike other Soy candles I have had-
this one actually burns clean! No black soot.

***Disclaimer: Diamond Candles did not pay me to review their candle, but if they want to send me one for free for reviewing it I wouldn't object  =-)***

 At work :
The Friday before Arleen made me Brownies
and I shared with everyone, they were very good
 =)
On the Monday after:
Linda got me a cookie =)

 Nancy made me cupcakes

I had a surprise in the mail later in the week from Corrine =)

TaDa!! A beautiful scarf!!
It is made from Vanna yarn and it is VERY soft =)

LOVE it!

Here I am with the scarf in action before work
I am not a good selfie picture taker....

We went to Mom's the weekend after my birthday for dinner.
I wanted to wait until we had Q....
See him? He's in a food coma....
We had a delicious dinner of fried chicken, corn,
green beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and rolls

I tucked him in LOL

DQ Ice Cream Cake!!! MMM

This was the original birthday gift-it hadn't arrived in time. It came a few weeks later.
A Charm Bracelet! =)
It is very fun and you can change out the beads.

The side the arrow is pointing to are the beads that came with the bracelet =)
Hubby had me pick the beads.
After the fact I realized I should have had a theme or something...
to make it cohesive.
Not an OCD nightmare haha
Maybe he will pick a bead out for my fun new bracelet for Christmas =)
