Dishcloths

Some of you out there in cyberspace might not know that not only do I bake but I crochet too.

Here are some dish cloths I have made. =)
I have made more of them but I didn't take pics of them, they went out as gifts, these are ones I have left.
I also have 3 that I rotate between in the bathroom for keeping the counter clean and dry.
I make scarfs too...I'm a slacker in the picture department so it seems...lol

Gooey Chocolate pudding cake

by Anne Thornton on Food Network

This recipe doesnt call for a lot of ingredients and it's mostly stuff you would have on hand anyway.

After you have all of the ingredients in the pan you pour  1 1/2 cups of hot water on top...and don't stir!!

I am SO gonna make this again.

Joe's Retirement Cake

Hubby and I were asked to make a cake for his coworker's retirement party. He did all of the hard work...I just baked and frosted, he decorated it with the tools.
It's a white cake with buttercream frosting.

                                                             yeah...that is a finger...

I could have put grass on that whole cake...I was having a good time with that tip.

A week ago we had hail here in Cleveland.
It lasted a good 10+ minutes.

It was about 1/2 and some were even bigger.

All of that white in the grass across the street is hail
                                                                 It looked like snow.

Skillet Lasagna from All You Magazine

Let's try again to post this...mmm this is so good...

I told a friend of mine I would make sure to get her this recipe, so I thought I would share with the rest of the class too:

All You Magazine  ( I don't know which issue this came from)

One Dish Dinner

Skillet Lasagna

Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 30 minutes
Serves: 4
Cost per serving: $2.62

1 Tbsp Olive Oil
3 Garlic Cloves
1 Lb. Ground Turkey (I use beef or Johnsonville Ground sausage from Marc's and closer to 2 pounds)
Salt and Pepper
8 uncooked Lasagna Noodles-broken into 4 pieces each (I probably use more lol)
1-26 oz jar of tomato sauce
2 Cups Water
1 1/2 Cups shredded mozzarella (Or more haha)
3/4 Cup Ricotta (I use a cup-but if you don't like it-you don't have to use it)

1. Warm oil in a 12 inch non stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, 30 seconds to one minute. Add ground meat, season with salt and pepper and cook until no longer pink, breaking the meat into small pieces.

2. Scatter noodles over meat. Pour sauce and water on top of the noodles. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to a low boil, stirring frequently (my noodles like to cook tot he bottom of the pan) until noodles are tender, 20-22 minutes. Season again if desired.

3. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella onto meat and sauce mixture and stir to combine. Remove pan from heat and spoon heaping spoonfuls of ricotta on top of the lasagna (I use a small melon baller/ice cream scoop) and add remaining mozzarella cheese. Cover and let stand until mozzarella is melter, 4-5 minutes.

4. Enjoy!!!

If you have any questions, please feel free to write a comment and I will get back to you. =)
This is quick and easy to make.

Pizza!!

I am off this week on vacation and I thought I would make Hubby and I a pizza yesterday!
I bought fresh dough from the local bakery down the street, and we always have cheese on hand.
We had my homemade spaghetti a few nights ago, so I used that sauce and the sausage is this good stuff we get from Marc's...I think it's Johnsonville ground sausage.

When I googled pizza recipes, they said 15-20 minutes...

...well 25 minutes later this is what we got =)
I think I need to go about 30 minutes because the dough was still a little undercooked.
